Shawty Lo's Babies' Mamas Show Faces Backlash

Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo
is set to star in his very own reality special, but some want to see the program
nixed before it even airs. That's because the show, titled All My Babies'
Mamas, focuses on Lo's complicated, and controversial, family life, which
involves 11 children by 10 different women.
The program, a one-hour
special, is set to air on the Oxygen network at an undetermined date. But online
opposition to the show has already begun. At Change.org, a petition has been started to pull
the plug on the special.
The petition, started by a woman named Sabrina
Lamb, has over 6,000 signatories so far who say they are prepared to boycott any
company that chooses to advertise with the program.
"As dysfunctional and
violent as so-called reality shows are, could you ever imagine a one hour
spectacle where 11 children are forced to witness their 10 unwed mothers clamor
for financial support, emotional attention and sexual reward from Shawty-Lo, the
apathetic ‘father’?" it begins. "With your voice...this ugliness will not see
international airwaves."
Oxygen has so far not responded to the backlash.
In an initial press release promoting the special, Oxygen's Senior Vice
President of Development said All My Babies' Mamas'will be filled with
outrageous and authentic over-the-top moments that our young, diverse female
audience can tweet and gossip about."
Kim Kardashian May Still Be Married When She Gives Birth

Kim Kardashian and
Kanye West are still glowing from their recent
pregnancy news, but it may be only a matter of time before baby mama drama
shows up. RadarOnline.com points out that Kardashian will
likely still be married to Kris Humphries at the time she is expected to
give birth in June, and according to California law the state will presume
Humphries is the father unless provided "clear and compelling evidence" to the
contrary.
Of course, a simple court filing and perhaps a DNA test could
solve that issue, but it seems unlikely Humphries will go away as quickly and
easily. The Brooklyn Nets player, who was happily married to Kardashian for 72
days last year, is still insisting that Kim admit their marriage was a fraud and
that she return the $2 million diamond engagement ring he bought her. If she
doesn't, the divorce will have to go to trial.
In perhaps better news,
sales of Kim's infamous 2007 sex tape with Ray J have spiked 80 percent
since news of her pregnancy broke, an even bigger jump than after her wedding to
Humphries. Kardashian and Ray J are both profit participants in the video, and
distributor Steven Hirsch of Vivid Entertainment implies they make more change
than one would expect from the embarrassing clip.
"Kanye's been boosting
biz for months now," a Vivid rep tells TMZ. "Overall sales of Kim's sex tape — be it
VOD, online, or DVD — have steadily increased every month since he and Kim
hooked up last spring."
Ryan Leslie Must Pay Additional $180,000 in Stolen Laptop Case

A judge has tacked on an additional $180,000 to the $1 million reward Ryan
Leslie is being forced to pay after losing a lawsuit over the recovery of
his stolen laptop.
As previously reported, Leslie’s backpack containing his
laptop, external hard drive, jewelry and cash was stolen following a performance
in 2010. The producer initially offered a $20,000 reward for the external hard
drive and computer since they contained session files which he could never get
back, but immediately bumped up that reward to $1 million.
A German man, Armin Augstein, found Leslie’s laptop while walking his
dog in a forest and returned it after hearing about the reward, but Leslie
refused to pay up because his music files had been corrupted. In November,
Leslie was ordered by a court to pay the award he had offered via video.
"They're different from just an MP3, MP3s are nothing for a producer or a
studio engineer, they can't do anything with them. They need the session files.
These were his compositions,” said Leslie’s attorney David DeStefano.
On Friday, it was decided that
Leslie must now pay a reported total of $1.2 million to suffice for the
interest that accumulated between 2010 and 2012.
DeStefano and Leslie have yet to contend the motion for $180,000 because they
plan to appeal the entire decision in court.
"This music was stolen from him," DeStefano said. "That was it. That was his
composition. Those were his files, and he was unable to release an album for two
years. So as an artist he released two albums in 2009 and was nominated in 2009,
and then he was not able to release an album for two years."
It seems as though Augstein is ready to play hardball. His attorney,
Michael S. Fischman, was quoted as telling the New York Post that
"had Mr. Leslie honored his promise, or responded to the repeated requests for
contact, this matter could have been amicably resolved a long time ago without
litigation."
Chad Johnson Sues Websites Over Leaked Sex Tape

Chad Johnson will not
take the leaking of his sex tape lying down, and he’s now taking legal action. The
former NFL star has filed a lawsuit against two websites that posted footage of
him having sex with a tattooed woman.
According to TMZ, Johnson’s lawsuit is against the websites
WorldStarHipHop.com and MediaTakeOut.com. The ex-husband of reality star Evelyn Lozada claims the two
websites posted stolen footage from his home.
Johnson is suing for unspecified damages, plus, a court order blocking the
websites from posting the footage ever again. Since he issued a cease-and-desist
letter last Thursday, both websites have removed the tape. But, feeling the
damage has already been done, Johnson is continuing with his lawsuit.
In
another area of Johnson’s love life, after rumors began swirling that he and
Lozada were getting back together, his ex-wife has emphatically denied that that
is the case. After being spotted at a Johnson family event in Miami, Lozada
responded to the speculation that they were rekindling. "I care for Chad,” she
explained. “We are friends and we love one another, however, we are still
separated.”
J. Cole's Born Sinner Delayed

J. Cole is kicking off 2013 with news that fans may not want to hear:
Born Sinner, the Grammy-nominated rapper's sophomore album, will not be
released at the end of this month as previously planned.
In an interview before his New
Year's Eve performance at the Tao nightclub in Las Vegas, Cole revealed that he isn't going to make the January 28 deadline
he set for himself back in November.
"It's not gonna make January 28, it's gonna be a little later than that,"
he said. "I needed a little more time than that to get things done."
Cole, who previously said he experienced "very little stress" making the
album, had hoped to release on January 28 since that date also marks his 28th
birthday.
Beyoncé to Bring Fans on Stage at 2013 Super Bowl

Pepsi is giving Beyoncé’s
biggest fans a chance to join the Grammy-winning diva on stage at the 2013 Super
Bowl. Beyoncé revealed she would be headlining the infamous halftime show
via Twitter back in October by posting a pic with the Super Bowl’s date in
football paint on her face. According to the Associated Press, now 100 lucky fans will be
selected to appear at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans with the singer
as well as in a TV ad introducing the performance.
Starting this Saturday, fans can submit photos of themselves in various dance
poses — these can be anything from head bopping to “Sasha Fierce” worthy moves —
and those photos will appear in the ad. From the photos, 50 people will be
selected along with a friend to join Bey herself on stage.
