Gucci Mane (nèe Radric Davis) pled not guilty to the aggravated assault charge he was hit with in March, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Georgia's Most Wanted rapper/Brick Squad 1017 founder is accused of attacking U.S. soldier James Lettley.

Lettley told the court that he was celebrating his birthday in the V.I.P. section of Harlem Nights Club in Atlanta when he approached Gucci's security to ask for a picture with the trap star. Gooch's response, he alleges, was to strike him in the head with a champagne bottle. Lettley went to a local hospital and received 10 stitches for his wound.

Gucci turned himself in and was released on a $75,000 bond last month. His lawyer, Drew Findling, argued that there is no evidence of the assault other than Lettley's testimony. He said the lack of evidence is especially curious with the prevalence of cameras these days.

Since he's been out (he was locked up for three weeks following the incident due to a parole violation that his lawyer did not specify in the media), Gooch has been getting his Brick Squad business in order. He signed Chicago's Chief Keef and producer C4 and has begun releasing new music. His Trap House III album is expected this year.

Monica, Shannon Brown Expecting First Child

Chris Brown may have deleted a tweet [possibly] directed towards Rihanna, but he's not keeping his fingers off the keyboard when it comes to his neighbors.

Brown took his affinity for graffiti to the side of his house via some colorful, monstrous blobs, and some of his neighbors have complained. He now faces a $367 fine, which could increase significantly. He responded publicly via Twitter.

Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association told the L.A. Times that the art is frightening local children. "There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they're literally frightened. It's like devils on the wall — big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we're used to."

She said that she hopes they can all just get along. "I know a $300 fine is probably pocket change. But hopefully and maybe, he'll just see the light and decide to be a good neighbor … We're happy to have him — if he just tones it down."

Brown said the children are better off indoors if his monsters are too much. He tweeted, "Keep em inside then! It's art. There are scarier creatures on Harry potter. Get a f--king life!"

His attorney, Mark Geragos is not yielding to the neighborhood association either. He said it's a matter of the first amendment and the fine threat is the latest in a series of harassing moves.

"I'm scared of neighborhood busybodies like this. They've called animal control. They have sicced parking [enforcement] on him, and now they reached the heights of ridiculousness here. Shame on them."

L.A. city code officials have ordered Brown to remove the "excessive signage" within 30 days.

Birdman Deads Beef Between Lil Wayne and Trick Daddy

As promised, the feud between Lil Wayne and Trick Daddy is no more, according to Birdman. Trick was upset with Weezy for dissing the Miami Heat in an angry rant (that also included the revelation that he slept with NBA player Chris Bosh's wife), yet things now appear to be on the straight and narrow.

During his interview with MTV's RapFix Live earlier in the week, the Cash Money patriarch confirmed that everything between his "son," and the Miami native is fine. In fact, the truce was brokered at the best place to handle squabbles: the strip club. "To be honest with you, I saw Trick Monday in [Miami strip club King of Diamonds] and we had a talk and it was all love," he told host Sway Calloway.

Thanks to his anti-Miami comments, Wayne, who is a longtime resident of the city, faced some backlash, but apparently the firestorm has simmered down. "We got a lot of friends out here," Birdman added. "These are people that we met day one, from day one when we hit the town. A lot of Haitian friends, [Rick] Ross, [DJ] Khaled, E Class, Flo Rida, all these boys — even Trick. These people we been knowing since we hit the town, so when a lot of it erupts I wanted to holla. I saw him Monday and we talked. That's dead meat."

Just last month Wayne and Trick had a less than positive run-in at the very same strip club. A member of Trick's crew allegedly flicked a cigarette at the New Orleans native, claims of which the former Slip 'n' Slide rapper denied involvement.

 

Mike Tyson may be relatively new to the acting game, but he's ready for a heavyweight role.

The former boxing champ tells the New York Daily News that he would like to play one of literatures most famous characters. "Wouldn’t Shakespeare be awesome? That Black guy…could you imagine me in Othello?"

Despite critical raves for his one-man show, Undisputed, and roles in The Hangover, Entourage and Scary Movie 5, he admits he would need additional training. "Anything you give me time to prepare, I can do," he says. "I don’t think I am ready for [Shakespeare] yet, but I would like to try."

He adds, "My career as an actor has blossomed. I never considered myself a comedian or actor, even though I was in movies and shows helping out friends. A lot of my friends are actors and directors and they say, 'Mike, we need you to concentrate and take it seriously.' They say my skills are horrible, but I have the natural timings for it. I am working on my skills."

Tyson has been experiencing a career renaissance of sorts, so we don't doubt that he's capable of flourishing as an actor. Could a golden statuette be in his future?

Reggie Bush, Lilit Avagyan Welcome Baby Girl

Nicki Minaj may actually beat fellow YMCMB rapper Drake to the silver screen. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Minaj is close to landing her first live-action role in a new movie opposite Cameron Diaz.

The rapper is in final talks to appear in The Other Woman, a comedy starring Diaz, who finds out her boyfriend is married. Diaz's character and the wife, played by Leslie Mann (This Is 40, Knocked Up), join forces to get revenge on the cheating husband.

Minaj will play Diaz's thrice-married "brutally honest" legal assistant. Swimsuit model Kate Upton and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) have also been cast in the Fox flick, to be directed by Nick Cassaevetes.

Shooting is expected to begin in New York next month.

Either way — whether or not the talks lead to ink — it seems Nicki is definitely ready to take her theatrical background to Hollywood. Earlier this week, rumors leaked that she may also be appearing in another Cameron Diaz pic, The Counselor, co-starring Brad Pitt, John Leguizamo, Rosie Perez and Penelope Cruz.
