Rapper Obie Trice is speaking up about Detroit's economic woes.
The rapper tells Vlad TV that he believes the city will "get worse before it improves." While he hates to say such a thing, he explains that there are too many issues in the city that need to be fixed for things to get better any time soon.
He calls Detroit's woes a "sad situation" and claims there is "a lot of corruption" within the city's political structure.
The D-12-affiliated emcee also explains that Eminem was attempting to bolster the local economy when he tried to get the upcoming movie "Elysium" filmed in Detroit. Eminem was reportedly offered the lead role in the film, but turned it down because director Neill Blomkamp wouldn't film in Detroit.
