Expect to hear some soulful beats!

Listen to Kanye West on iHeartRadio

Hit-making producer Rsonist is opening about his work on Kanye West's upcoming album.

Rsonist - who is one half of the producing duo Heatmakerz - tells MTV News the track he cut for Kanye's album is "old-school."  He adds the song reflects "soul music at its best."

Apparently, Kanye reached out to the producing pair and asked them to create a beat that showed off "that old Heatmakerz sound" featured tracks such as "I'm Ready" by the Diplomats and "Receipt" by Lil Wayne.

Rsonist also pointed out that Kanye has a similar history of making soulful beats.  When Kanye was just starting out in the hip-hop game he used songs by the Jackson 5 and Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes to bring an old school flair to Jay-Z's Roc-a-Fella Records.
