Listen to Joe Budden on iHeartRadio

Joe Budden is opening up about his use of the drug "Molly."  The star of VH1's "Love and Hip-Hop" tells New York's Fox 5 that he had a "drug-induced summer" last year due his use of the drug, which is a type of ecstasy.

Budden says while he was taking Molly, he would sometimes be up for five days without sleeping.  The drug altered his thinking process "dramatically."  The rapper claims many people in the hip-hop world were shocked to hear that he had been using the drug, and says the industry has never known him to be a drug user.

Budden decided to speak out about his drug use because he felt it was important for somebody to stand up against it.

Joe Budden's third album No Love Lost hit stores last month.  The album debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart after selling more than 30-thousand copies in its first week.
