Costee J is radio royalty in the River Region. The Tuskegee, Alabama native has had a paying job in radio since age 12. Getting his first job at a radio station in Tuskegee, he quickly made a name for himself in the industry, climbing as one of the top urban/hip hop Midday DJs in the market. From disc jockey to producer, Costee J has endless knowledge of the radio business that does not go without notice. One of his most notable honors of many includes being named “Tom Joyner’s DJ of the Year for Small Market Radio”. With a Master’s Degree in Communications, it’s no coincidence that when he is not at the radio station, you can catch him relaxing while reading and listening to music for his weekend Homegrown segment. Always striving to become better each day, Costee knows that while “it’s nice to be important, it’s more important to be nice.
